Objectives
Analyze recommended evidence based test and measurements based on home health impairment categories and integrate into home health practice. Description
This course will discuss the ever changing regulatory and reimbursement models, home bound requirements and documentation, face to face requirements and training for improving your understanding of Medicare’s definitions and accuracy with oasis documentation. Course handout includes over 350 pages with tests & tools to improve the home health clinician’s skills, documentation, and functional outcome measurements. The course will include case studies, and numerous opportunities to review, observe the tests being done on patients and then participate in performing self-testing with instructions from the presenter. A Bonus for Physical Therapist and assistants and Occupational Therapist and assistants: The Functional Test Score Summary Table– 4 page concise, easy to use summary of all the specific tests and measures learned, with age and gender norms, fall risk indicators, mortality and hospital risk indicators. The Functional Toolbox Test Score Summary Table – 2 page summary with handouts, easy to use summary of specific tests for OT’s including norms for age and gender, specific measurements, fall risk and hospital risk indicators.
