Objectives
Target Audience
The target audience is restricted to Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Massage Therapists. The level of learning for PT/PTA is Intermediate level. Attendees of the course should have a basic background in the concepts of soft-tissue mobilization, such as massage.
They should also have a basic anatomical background and understand muscle, tendon, and ligament fiber orientation as well as physiological response to inflammation and injury. This course does not demand any prerequisites to be completed before attending.

Description
This 8-hour course builds on the principles covered in the introductory IASTM course. Using a case-study lab-focused teaching format, advanced treatment strokes are introduced and problem solving skills are emphasized. This course includes the utilization of motion with IASTM and multi regional treatment concepts. At the end of the course, attendees will take an exam for a certification in Level II: Advanced IASTM.
