Description
You see older patients with back pain every day. Why not get the best results possible? In this fun, interactive course, Dana Logan and Carole Lewis make research more accessible to clinicians by discussing the practical applications of the most current and salient studies on lumbar spinal stenosis. They review evaluation and treatment approaches and use case studies to illustrate what you can do daily in the clinic to get great results with your older patients suffering from back pain due to lumbar stenosis. For most therapists, hardly a day goes by without seeing a patient with low back pain. Unfortunately, it’s an all too common condition that plagues our population. Fortunately, we can help! It is essential to realize that different diagnoses of back pain require different treatment approaches. This course thoroughly addresses spinal stenosis in the older adult. We review clinical research on lumbar spinal stenosis and demonstrate how to apply the research to an actual patient case study. We will model a structured approach for evaluation and treatment of this condition. As a participant in this course you will submit responses to case study questions about goals and treatment options and review poor, better and excellent responses with the instructors. The course ends with a question and answer session with the instructors.
