Description
These classic seminars provide detailed instruction on the fabrication and clinical application of a wide variety of splints including static, dynamic, and static progressive mobilization splints. Both comprehensive splinting courses explore all aspects of splint fabrication including biomechanics, material selection, strapping and padding, pattern making and selection. Principles of dynamic and static progressive splinting theory and application are presented along with practical fabrication concepts. All custom splints discussed in the lectures are illustrated in the manual. Fabrication tips and techniques are described in detail in the manual for future reference. In the FOCUS ON SPLINTING class, course attendees will have an opportunity to fabricate several splints of both static and dynamic designs in a fun, non-threatening, supervised setting. In the ORTHOTIC FABRICATION class, participants will observe Patricia fabricating multiple splints of all types while having the ability to ask questions and to problem solve. The comprehensive course manual contains over 30 life sized patterns which are available exclusively at this course! Use of these patterns insures immediate clinical success and significantly increases confidence! This course has successfully guided therapists on the “art and science of splinting” for over 20 years!
