Description

Promoting Positive Behavioral Change
Due to rising health costs and to time constraints, it is becoming increasingly important that we have tools that can be utilized in the brief intervention setting and that will quickly move the client down the path toward positive behavioral change. Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques are proven interventions that both lessen client ambivalence and support the development of a workable change plan.
This one-day seminar will help participants utilize brief, client-centered techniques that can be immediately practiced in almost any setting. Attendees will leave with a fresh, new approach for working with resistant clients and will be energized to motivate their clients to take up healthier lifestyle patterns.
