Description
There are four systems that make up balance, somatosensory, vestibular, vision and muscular posterior lateral hip muscles. The course will be an over view of the all four system with an emphasis on ocular motor. The ocular motor system is the missing link to balance and performance in the active patient. How do we improve hand-eye coordination, such as boxing, tennis, baseball and golf activities. The vestibular system allows our eyes to see with detail objects that are moving or when our head is moving. Spins on a ball, velocity and placement are critical for improving performance and in the prevention of injuries. Neuromuscular training should include, perturbation training and ocular motor training. Implementation of rehabilitation programs individualized according to evaluative findings will be reviewed and discussed
