Description

Feel Confident Meeting the Unique Needs of Military Clients
Psychologists and other behavioral health professionals are being sought out for their expertise in treating psychological conditions and disorders in the military. Yet, there are unique clinical and ethical considerations which need to be considered when engaging in psychological practice with a military population—whether they are Uniformed, Retired, Families, or Civilians. Many behavioral health clinicians are not prepared for these unique concerns and are not aware of how to maximize effectiveness when treating this population.

This seminar will address the cultural, ethical, regulatory, clinical, and practical considerations of working with a military population. Participants will learn the significant impact that diagnosis and clinical documentation may have on a military client's career. Dr. West will present creative ideas for marketing considerations, client retention, and effective interventions in working with a military population. Attendees will leave feeling confident addressing the unique and sensitive needs of their military clients.
