Objectives
1. All participants will accurately determine
neurological level and classification from provided
International Standards for Neurological
Classification of Spinal Cord Injury (ISNCSCI)
exam data using ASIA Guidelines.
2. All participants will view bed mobility and transfer
skills via video demonstration and correctly describe
appropriate progression of treatment strategies to
promote increased success for clients with C6 levels of
SCI and below.
3. All participants will be able to correctly describe
three common medical complications associated
with spinal cord injury and how they impact
patient care, treatments and outcomes.
4. All participants will be able to independently
list five considerations to promote optimal,
upright sitting posture/positioning in ultra-
lightweight manual and power wheelchairs.
5. Physical Therapy participants will be able
to properly describe three common gait
deviations and two potential causes for each
deviation for clients with motor incomplete SCI.
6. All participants will be able to accurately
and effectively teach another participant to
attain and maintain a wheelie in an ultralight
manual wheelchair.
7. Occupational Therapy participants will be able
to identify and apply appropriate hand splinting
techniques for those with SCI.

Cancellations received in writing at least four weeks prior to the seminar date will receive a tuition refund less a $75 administration fee. Cancellations within four weeks of the seminar will not be refunded but registration may be transferred to a future course without any fees. Substitutions are allowed at any time.

PT - SCI Seminars, Inc. has been approved for 12 CCUs as a provider through ProCert Continuing Competence Activity Certification Program (FSBPT aPTitude). ProCert is approved in 20 states for CEU requirements for licensure. According to the FSBPT website:
"Any ProCert certified activities will be accepted by the board for purposes of meeting continuing education and licensure renewal requirements for PTs and PTAs in [these] states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia and Wisconsin.
