Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to: 1) Compare and contrast the functional, biomechanical, pathological, radiographic and diagnostic anatomy of selected pathologies of the cervical spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand
2) Understand the scientific and clinical rational for integrating manual therapy, and neuromotor control rehabilitation of upper quarter dysfunction.
3) Observe and/or practice selected integrated manual therapy and neuromotor control strategies to reduce pain, increase ROM, increase flexibility, increase strength, and improve function.

Description
Sandy L. Burkart PT, OCS, PhD will provide each practitioner with an understanding of the functional, biomechanical, radiographic, pathological, and diagnostic anatomy of the cervical spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand as it relates to orthopedic dysfunction and rehabilitation. The workshop will provide each practitioner with neuromotor control elements of human posture and function as it relates to the evaluation and rehabilitation of upper extremity orthopedic dysfunction. Clinical strategies for rehabilitation integrating manual therapy with neuromotor strategies to modulate pain, increase ROM, increase strength, and improve function will be presented and demonstrated. A workshop manual to include workshop content, educational resources, and evidence based references will be provided.
