Description

A Natural Form of Exercise
Running is probably the most natural form of exercise and does not require expensive equipment or a specific environment. However, running is a complex activity that does require the interaction of all the human body systems. In order to gain further health benefits from running and to reduce the risk of running-related injuries, the athlete and the health care provider must have sufficient understanding of the mechanism and physiology of running.

This one-day seminar will take an in-depth look at the human gait cycle and the mechanisms of running-related injuries. Attendees will complete a comprehensive running gait analysis using the latest technology and identify activities specifically designed for runners to help improve performance while decreasing the risk of injury. The instructor's experience and passion for the course content will be key in providing the participants not only with tools and techniques that can be implemented immediately, but also with an exciting and fresh approach to treating runners of all ages and levels.
