Transfers
Tuition is fully transferrable up to ten days prior to the first day of the course free of charge, one time only. Subsequent transfers will incur a $50.00 transfer fee. The fee will be deducted from the participant’s credit balance. In the event the participant decides to cancel and request a refund, the Cancellation Policy stated below will apply in addition to the transfer fees accrued.

Cancellation Policy
If participant cancels within three business days of registration, the amount paid is fully refundable. If participant does not cancel within this period, participant agrees to adhere to all policies contained herein.
The tuition for all of our courses is fully refundable* and/or transferable up to ten days before the class begins. There is a cancellation fee of $100 if the participant cancels within the ten-day period prior to the first day of class. The full tuition becomes non-refundable once the participant has attended all or part of the course, whether or not the participant successfully completes the course. Documented medical/family emergencies are the only exceptions.
*If the course materials have been shipped to/received by the participant, we will hold up to** $250 of the refund until the materials are returned to us. The materials must be returned to us undamaged, void of handwriting, marks or highlights, in re-saleable condition. Once materials are received back to our office, in undamaged condition, we will refund the remaining funds due to the participant. If the participant decides to keep all or a portion of the materials, the prices below will be assessed to each item retained by the participant. The remaining items must be returned to us, undamaged. Once the remaining materials are received back to our office, we will charge for each item retained and refund the difference.

**Not all of our courses use these exact materials and not all of our courses ship these materials prior to the start of the course. We will only hold the amount necessary for the items shipped to the participant until they are returned. If you did not receive any materials prior to the start of the course, we will refund your tuition in full if cancellation was more than 10 days prior to the start of the course. Within 10 days of the start of the course, $100 of the tuition is non-refundable.

Agenda

This course is 5 days in length (40 contact hours). The classroom hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm daily. There will be approximately one hour for lunch every day.

Description

This 5-day, 40-hour certification course is a careful balance between lecture topics and hands-on lessons. This course is ideally suited to serve as an introduction to the techniques and applications of the treatment known as Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), which was developed by Emil Vodder, Ph.D.
PLEASE NOTE: This course does NOT train therapists to treat patients with Lymphedema. Participants are educated on the applications of Manual Lymph Drainage pertaining to the pathologies listed below. For courses specific to Lymphedema, please see our Lymphedema Management Seminar (31 hours) or Complete Lymphedema Certification (135 hours).

Basic anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system
Drainage pathways of the lymphatic system
Pathophysiology of the lymphatic system
Lymphatic insufficiencies and conditions that lead to the development of edema
Difference between edema and lymphedema
Indications and contraindications of MLD
Basic strokes for the entire body and their effects
Application of basic MLD sequences in healthy lymphatic systems
Application of basic MLD to post-traumatic and post-surgical edema
Application of basic MLD sequences to various pathologies (fibromyalgia, migraines, chronic fatigue syndrome)

The tuition for this course is $1150.00. We offer an early registration discount of $150 if registered 60 days or more in advance.
