    Description
Enter the World of Universal and Accessible Home Design Many medical professionals (i.e. Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists) do not have a full understanding of the potential issues with a home modification project. These issues include such items as appropriate space relationships, detailed home evaluation reports, specialty products and the use of concepts and principles of universal and accessible home design. Another issue is the role and definition of the individuals involved in the home modification project. This one-day seminar allows the therapist to enter into the world of universal and accessible home design. The therapist will enter a "virtual" world of exciting products and concepts to benefit their clients. Within the universal and accessible designed home, one can create warmth and beauty while, at the same time, creating a safe and functional environment for clients. The principles and concepts that will be presented will give the professional home evaluator multiple tools to utilize when performing a home modification assessment. The participants in this seminar will not only enhance their knowledge base, but extenuate their problem solving skills. This seminar emphasizes the concept of a team approach in which all participants work toward achieving the same goal of a beautiful and functional home environment for their clients.
