Objectives
Upon completion of this course, including the lecture, demonstration and lab, the participant will be able to: *Explain and apply all the concepts of the KinesioTaping method including: The tape qualities The principles of application for muscles The corrective techniques *Apply various taping techniques for the spine and upper/lower extremities *Apply Kinesio Tape appropriately for scar management *Have a basic understanding of the lymphatic system and how Kinesio Tape can be used to assist with edema reduction *Have a basic understanding of pump points for edema reduction *Apply Kinesio Tape appropriately for edema reduction

Description
KT3 Kinesio Taping Certification Course
Prerequisites: KT1/KT2 must be taken at least 4 weeks prior to taking KT3. Proof of attendance must be provided. Please email your KT1/KT2 certificate of attendance to info@RehabEd.com or fax to 845-368-2458 after completing registration.
KT 3 expands upon the information taught in KT 1 and 2. KT3 includes review of basic techniques, an introduction to the basket weave application and a review of the corrective techniques with tape application guidelines. A variety of body assessments are completed with corresponding tapings as well as scar management taping. The afternoon session focuses on edema taping, and focuses on an introduction to the lymphatics followed by an introduction to the use of pump points to facilitate lymphatic flow. Lab sessions provide ample time to practice taping applications for edema reduction.
Note: Participants who successfully complete the required Fundamental and Advanced Kinesio Taping (KT1, KT2, & KT3) courses are eligible to take the Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP) exam through the KinesioTaping Association (KTAI). Upon passing this exam with a score of 80% or better, practitioners will be granted the CKTP title along with all the associated rights and benefits.
