Objectives
Identify the role of the pelvic floor muscles in sphincteric, supportive, sexual and especially, stabilizing functions. Identify the relationship between the diaphragm, transverse abdominis, multifidus and pelvic floor muscles in providing functional stability. Identify common diagnoses involving pelvic floor dysfunction in adult athletic populations Integrate the pelvic floor muscles and diaphragm within progressive functional stabilization programs. Identify key components of "return to sport" screening for women postpartum.

Description
This webinar will take an integral look into the role of the pelvic floor muscles and diaphragm in functional stabilization. This presentation will also explore common presentations of pelvic floor dysfunction in adult athletic populations, and will touch on the specific needs of women returning to athletics/exercise postpartum.
