Review hightlights of normal gait kinematics in adults (written review provided in advance) Examine the typical kinematic/kinetic dysfunctions in common neurmuscular pathologies Formulate stratiegies for examining and evaluating gait in these patients that incorporate all domains of the ICF Utilize existing physical performance measures and tools to objectively measure gait

Description
This course will provide a focused review of normal gait as a foundation for identifying the common gait deviations and impairments in pathological gait following stroke. A hypothesis driven gait analysis will be discussed and demonstrated using a video case example. Appropriate, objective outcome measures will be described and strategies for appriate outcome measure selection will be identified.
