Therapy Network Seminars

Format(s):   Home-study
Discipline(s):   Physical Therapy / Occupational Therapy / Athletic Training
Contact Hours:   1.5
Registration Fee:   $52.00

Objectives
Identify indications and contraindications for treatment utilizing instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). Identify the concepts of how to incorporate IASTM, Movement, and Proprioceptive retraining into a treatment session. Identify rehab tools that can be used in conjunction with IASTM such as: resistance tools; balance and proprioception tools; and vibration & oscillation tools. Identify structural and physiological concepts of why using dynamic activities during soft tissue treatments may be beneficial. Identify the 5 Concepts of Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR)

Target Audience
PT, PTA, OT, OTA, ATC, PA-C, DC

Confirmation Notes
An email confirmation with link to the webinar will be sent upon receipt of tuition

Agenda

Description
Functional and Kinetic treatment with rehab (FAKTR) embodies the use of instrument assisted soft tissue techniques (IASTM) with resistance, balance, proprioception, and vibration & oscillation tools. This webinar will cover the various instruments utilized in soft tissue mobilization, their use, indications and contraindications while addressing dynamic activities during IASTM through the kinetic chain that can be beneficial to your patients. You will learn new training techniques to restore muscle imbalance, facilitate movement patterns and incorporate adjuncts such as Kinesiotaping, etc
