Description

The Wii is fun, but is it evidence-based treatment? What conditions can be most effectively treated with the Wii? How can I get started using the Wii with my clients? How do we document and bill appropriately when using the Wii? This course will use current literature to demonstrate how therapists can be assured that when using the Wii they are providing safe, fun, effective and evidenced-based therapy. Indications, contraindications, precautions and safety issues will be addressed. Conditions will be matched with games and games will be matched with therapeutic goals. Mark Traffas will demonstrate how to use the Wii with functional tools and how to establish a personalized workout on the Wii. Video demonstration will be used to emphasize and simplify treatments. As a participant, you will experience an interactive, online experience, case studies, references and a “Take Home” handout.
