Note: Health professionals who have successfully completed the required Fundamental and Advanced Kinesio Taping (KT1, KT2, & KT3) courses are eligible to take the Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP) exam. Upon passing this exam with a score of 80% or better, practitioners will be granted the CKTP title along with all the associated rights and benefits. ONLY KTA-APPROVED courses are considered in obtaining accreditation as a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP). CEU'S KinesioTaping is an approved provider through BOC, NCBTMB and AOTA. We apply to each states PT board when a course is held in that state. Attendees must take KT1 and KT2 courses together. KT1- Fundamental Concepts (To be taken in conjunction with KTA approved KT2 course) ● 8 hour course ● designed to introduce practitioners to the KT Method ● covers the four major physiological effects- skin, muscle, circulatory/lymphatic and joint ● features lab sessions to practice KT applications ● completion will allow attendees to relax overuse syndrome, stimulate weak muscles and decrease pain and swelling KT2- Advanced Concepts and Corrective Techniques (Attendees must complete KTA approved KT1 course before taking KT2) ● 8 hour course ● builds on material learned in KT1 ● covers the six corrective techniques- mechanical, functional, space, fascia, ligament/tendon and lymphatic) ● features lab sessions to practice KT applications ● completion will allow attendees to apply the KT Method to orthopedic and neurological conditions
