Dr. Hyde is a clinician, researcher, educator, and author. He was a certified instructor of the Graston Technique for 10 years and is the co-developer of Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation (FAKTR); which is a concept that can be used with instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). His distinguished 35+ year career included 7 years as a chiropractic consultant for the Miami Dolphins, a sports medicine internship at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO and US chiropractor to the Pan American Games. Additionally he served on the first RAND multidisciplinary panel on Low Back Pain. He was a contributor to the Mercy Document and the CCGPP soft tissue section. He recently completed the second edition of Conservative Management of Sports Injuries published by Jones and Bartlett with his co-editor and co-contributor, Marianne Gengenbach. After sustaining a career ending injury in 1996, Dr. Hyde now spends his time lecturing and teaching. He served on numerous Boards including the American Chiropractic Assn, Council on Sports Injuries and Physical Fitness and the Florida Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. In 2009, Dynamic Chiropractic chose him as their “Person of the Year.” He has his Diplomate in Sports Injuries and his International Sports Science Diploma. In 2009, he was awarded an Honorary membership to the Royal Canadian Chiropractic Sports Science organization.
