Craig Garrison, PT, PhD, SCS, ATC is a clinician, educator and researcher and considered one of the leading experts in the treatment and prevention of lower extremity injuries in the country. Craig is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. In his role at Northwestern, Craig is the Director of the DI Sports PT Fellowship and leads the sports medicine research agenda within the Athletic Movement Performance lab located at Northwestern Athletics & Recreation. He completed his PhD in Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia and his degree in physical therapy from the University of Oklahoma. His research agenda is in the identification and rehabilitation of knee and shoulder and elbow injuries with a specific focus on clinical and biomechanical outcomes in the rehabilitation and return to sport after ACL and shoulder and elbow injury in the Throwing Athlete. Craig is board certified as a clinical specialist in sports physical therapy and serves as an American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy (AASPT) Centennial Scholar, Content Expert Mentor. Craig has lectured on sports medicine topics both nationally and internationally. He is a NATA-BOC certified athletic trainer, a member of the ICCUS Society for Sports Rehabilitation, the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists, is a previous winner of the SPTS Lynn Wallace Clinical Education Award and is currently serving as the Chair for the Specialization SIG of the AASPT.
