This video course teaches what deep tissue massage really means so that therapists can evaluate each client and condition to determine its appropriateness, and practice Deep Tissue Massage with safe and effective techniques. Attendees will examine the anatomy of common injuries, assess safety considerations and establish protocols to determine proper duration of treatment. The course also includes demonstrations of deep tissue massage techniques on the neck, upper and lower back, shoulders, hips, thighs and legs. Manual techniques using the thumb, fingers, fist, elbow and forearm for performance of deep tissue massage will also be examined.
