Speech-Language Pathologists.

Medications often affect the swallow but this may be poorly recognized by the speech pathologist. Many times it isn’t just one pill that contributes to the swallowing difficulties, but it is the combination of drugs ingested. This course discusses resources to check for drug/drug, drug/food and drug/herb interactions. Various delivery methods of medications are reviewed as well as how medications impact the central nervous system. This Seminar-On-Demand is 4 contact hours in length (check your state’s approval status in the state specific course catalog for your profession).
